Proscan sent us 2 new remotes for our tv which is less than 1 year old but they are the wrong remotes. They say they no longer make that remote or that model tv so we are SOL. Have tried an RCA Universal Remote but we need 4 digit codes not 5 digit. Company gave us 4 digit codes but they don't work. What now?
0382,0376,0361,0000 are the codes to check. If you wish to get more details, check this
site. Pull up previous posts
there. Setup code list and
setup proceedings to many popular brand remote controls are given. Three digit, four digit, five digits and
two-digit code list are there. Check
the site with patience. Surely you'll
get a solution to your problem. Search
the site by 'Timeslide' option. It will
make search easy. Or, type in the brand
name to your device into its search box, and press "Enter"

With your model number at hand, check the RCA website for a later code list.
If you are the exception, you might find one.
Most all remotes have a 'search' function that lets you scan through all of the available code sets but this feature will, in most cases, provide only minimal functionality such as Power, Volume and Channel.
In truth, there isn't any such thing as a 'universal' remote, including the 'learning' remotes; I have one of those and it is unable to 'learn' from either of my later sets' remotes.
At best, these should be called (honestly) 'multi-brand.'
