just after I changed the password of my Aficio 1224c, 2 min later a windows test came out, and hang before it was ready, this paper was no so dark as normal, then I get this message ''code SC 544'' the printer button is red, and also a service key has light up also red,
what to do, I don't have the service manual to know where are the thermostats, and I don't know if it can be reset like the other products?
Well, I have no idea why changing your password would affect it this way. the code you're experiencing is a fuser warm up error, due to blown fuse, thermostsat, possible power supply prob...regardless, it can only be reset by a service tech in service mode once the problem is fixed. Sorry.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hello! This code is related to a Fusing low temperature error. You probably need to change Hot roller (or fusing rooler) and thermistors. You can reset this code but it will pop-up again sooner or later. The best advise i can give you is to call a technician (if you do njot have technical knowledge) If you still want to reset the code tey this: Press yellow key Press in the key pad 107 Press red key at least 5 sec. Exit all the way out. Turn the machine off and on.
Well, that is not an easy error. Your machine is detecting a short circuite in the discharge plate. It could be just a defective harness between the High voltage supply unit and the BICU.
So... The best advise i can give you is to call your technical support.

This SC code relates to the charge corona cleaner not working or not working properly. the charge corona is located towards the bottom left of the machine after opening the front cover. It will have a screw you can undo by hand and a cable with an end like a telephone cable plug. toner may have fallen in to the unit or the motor that drives the cleaner along the wires has decided to jam up. remove the charge corona and blow it out with compressed air. You can also remove the end of the unit and check that the motor is not gummed up. Be very careful you do not break the hair thin corona wires! Hope this helps.
