Use VOM (Volt-Ohm Meter) and check for proper voltage from power brick. If that is nominal, then hold the reset button in on the back of the router whilst pluggin gin the power supply. Hold button in for 30 seconds.
Wait another 30 seconds and then recycle power to the router again. (this time w/o holding in the reset button). This should reset the router back to factory settings.

Plug the first router into a LAN port on the router you are using as a repeater. Don't plug into the WAN port. That should make it work

My wireless router isn't working

I think you should reset the router and reconfigure it.
If the wired computer is also not working then I think you need to reconfigure it for sure.

D-Link wireless router has been greta, until yesterday- the Roku boxes say my router strength is excellant, but all of a sudden, the box can no loger connect to the Internet even when I select my router-...

The router most likely is not synced properly with the modem. Your computer might still have a strong connection to the router, but isn't getting an IP address. Power everything down, including the modem and restart in this order:
1. Modem - allow a minute for it to run thru its diagnostics 2. Router 3. Computer
Once you've done this, if you're ISP isn't having outages, you should have the internet working again on your computer. If this doesn't work, call your provider.

Do a hard reset on your router by holding in the reset button (while it is powered on) for at least 30 seconds. Release the reset button and power off the router. Hold the reset button again for 30 seconds. Then power on the router.
