Lamp needs to bereplaced,,,,, tv jvc model 61z886, need to know model of lamp i need and where to buy it

Google "DLP lamp" and you'll get many places from which to order lamps. Go to one of these sites and they should have a search box. Enter your model number and it should give you the part number of your lamp. Try several sites if the first one doesn't give you what you need to know. Once you have your lamp number you can shop the various sites for the best price. Note: You can buy your lamp complete (with the housing it comes in),..... or just the bulb and replace the bad one in the housing (cheaper)..... if you have the skills needed. If not buy it complete with housing. If you change the bulb only,.. don't touch it with your bare hands. Most bulb only packages come with rubber gloves.

61 inch projection tv flashing on and off

The most common problem with JVC LCD rear projection TV is bulb failure. Do not panic, this is normal after 2-5 years of use.

You can change the complete assembly or for less cost just change the bulb. Do not use Osram or other funny brand "rebuilt" or locally made bulb. Use a Philips replacement and all should be good.

Changing the bulb involves removing the lamp assembly and taking it apart like a puzzle and replacing the bulb. JVC are a little more difficult to do than most others because the wires on the original bulb are molded into the glass on the original bulb. Wires must be cut and stripped of insulation before connecting to the new bulb.

All JVC LCD Rear projections TVs use TSCL110 TSCL110U TS-CL110U Lamps.

My jvc 56' flat screen is showing a message in blue to replace lamp but there still is a good picture?

Well, the message is trigger by the passing of time. The TV simply counts the hours the TV has been on, then when the counter hits the designated amount... the message starts to appear. Best thing to do is order a lamp and have it on hand. You can go into the TV menu and reset the lamp timer for now, just to get the message out of sight. When the lamp does fail, change the lamp and reset the timer again. I hope this was of some assistance, best wishes.

I have a shadow in the center toward the bottom of the screen of my jvc hd-61z886 projection tv

Clean the lense on the light engine. If ther is a door on the side you can put a microfiber rag on a stick and clean it. If not you have to pull the light engine and clean the lense. Be syre to unplug it and never turn it on with the back off. There is a sensor that will cause problems with the HDMI. If that doesn't fix you will need to replace the light engine.

Vertical lines appear on the screen.

It appears like there is a bad capacitor in the horizontal circuit. Try to put a fan near the ventilation trap, just for a test.
the part cost almost nothing but having someone to your house is expensive.
Your decision.
