Hey found the answer to your question while looking for mine own, heres is the link to the pdf. it has all the specs from the company(pyle) dealing with the 10,12 square sub.
the info you are looking is under the category/ Vas (cuft.) which if i am reading correct to get the best sound you would need to build your box with 4.14 cubic feet. but look for yourself

How to install, since it doesn't come with instructions.

Unless your speakers / boxes are specific for your car, there will not be any installation instructions beyond generalized that may include a wiring diagram, a chart to show how much volume your speaker box needs (minimum and optimum), power handling, etc.

Search for your model / part numbers at Pyle Car Audio and see what information is available there.

What is the volume required for a ported box?

If you take the height times the width times depth divided by 1728 will give you box volumes.
you can get a speaker book at radio shack that gives you charts as to a box with a certain amount of cubic volume it will tell you for a 2" port or a 3" port to cut to a certain length for a certain frequency.
the book is called building speaker systems
speakers for your listening pleasure.
the number of the book radio shacks number is
62-1087a.
H x W x D=
answer / 1728= cubic volume.

I have found a PYLE POUNDER 8 inch speaker. I need to construct or purchase the correct enclosure for use as a car bass speaker or subwoofer. Need speaker and enclosure info.

making a sealed box would be the correct enclosure for that sub, http://cdn.cloudfiles.mosso.com/c128031/sc-image/7/1/4/3/7143ed32a19c9a357a99e344a440d7e8.jpg th that image has one way you can have it look like, the black plastic piece is a connector point that is drilled out then glued to the side or back of the box, the other way is up side down/ reversed http://www.billkatz.com/images/ces_pics/ces_subwoofers.jpg Any sealed enclosure will do, 8 inch are not that powerful so any enclosure.

two channel will do with the same power power rating of your speakers ex. your speaker is 500 watts per piece so you need to buy a 500 watts per channel amplifier

What is the best size speaker box for this subwoofer

Any type BOX will do...This ensures all the thump to be pushed forward to give all the sound from the speaker forward....enjoy. Alow enough room to get you hand in to wire easy and you should be good.

Power in amp but no sound to speakers

you need to make sure youre getting a signal from the source, RCA's I suppose. Check for loose connections or broken wires. make sure to have 12v+ on power and remote inputs at amp...proper ground too. Lastly, check your ohm loads at speakers, maybe one is about dead. make sure crossover settings are correct.
good luck!

I would say look for a custom box off ebay or build one behind rear seat. Im not shure if you can fit a small truck box behind there but you may be able to. It would sound pretty good behind rear seat. Hope this helps

1500w duel coil subwoofer

Depends on the type of music you listen to and the type of sound you want out of the box. If you're looking for "as loud as possible", you'll probably want a ported box, as this will make the output of the sub peak at a specific frequency and drop off at others. If you wanted more of an even response across many frequencies, a sealed box is probably best. Kenwood has recommended sizes in the owner's manual.
