Question about Radio Shack TRC-447 CB Radio
This would be EXTREMELY difficult.Too many components would have to be changed to handle the extra required voltages. Then you would need to incorporate a way to install fans for cooling. The expense and pain in the **** factor would not make this a good move. I do like the idea of the old style EPT360014B DX88HML chassis having an on board amp. Hey are you listening Galaxy?!

This type of modification is not recomended and will ultimitaly cost you a good radio.the amo in a 2970 requires a lot of modification to the galaxy 88 I have not seen or heard of anyone who has done this modification successifly usually they eng up with 2 radios that nolonger work.
