Question about Acer Aspire 6920 Notebook PC
When i turn on computer sometimes it boots up from windows xp and goes into acer arcade deluxe allthough my laptop has vista this gets rather annoying after a while any ideas how to stop it booting to xp instead of vista what it should do have seen several forums with same problem
I have the same laptop, there is 2 EISA on the hard drive an 10GB partion and an 3.5 GB partion, one of theses is the XP partition and the other in the D2D recovery parition, hard drive progames on the hiren's boot cd would work for deleteing both the parititions.
TVista will work without the EISA partitions, but make back up disks before you attepmt this.

Take it back to store. basically a hidden, but unremovable partition is causing the xp bootup. It happened to me aswell. They will probably give you a replacement as it is an unfixable problem. Even with new hard drive didnt fix it. Sorry about that.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
Download and run a program called hitman pro, here is a link to download:
During boot-up keep pressing F8 this should give you safe mode options, choose "SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING" once your have got into windows install hitman pro and use the free trial by registering the product online. Rin the software and remove any found viruses. Re-boot the computer and go into Windows as normal all viruses should be removed.
