Thanks for everyone's help. I was finally able to get it out. There was
a tiny little clip on one side that I didn't see until I got out a
magnifying glass. :) Now, if only that had fixed the problem, but it didn't.

You remember me? Which one of my dumb questions made me memorable? :)

*g* most of the time you have to use a timy screwdriver or another thingie,
to apply some force to the contact spring on one side, then at a sudden
release it - the battery should pop out like popcorn :)
