It sounds like you may have connected the dvd/video combo to the wrong spot on the television. The yellow wire cannot be placed into the green hole. You'll get a picture but it will be in black and white. You can only connect these yellow, red, and white composite wires to a component input spot on this television in order to get a color picture.
Check your componet connections to the TV, Componet cables use green,red, blue and red and white for audio, check the green cable go see if it came loose, because if it is the picture will be B &W.
Are you using component video (red/blue/green) rca jacks, or composite video input (yellow) rca jack? You need to match the color but watch out and do not get confused with the red and white RCA for audio.
if you connect composit video from your DVD player to the "Y" jack of the tv then you will get only a black and white picture .. the composit video out of your DVD has to be connected to the composit video input of the TV .. or if you have component outputs on your DVD then you can hook those up to the "three" component inputs of the tv .. Have you tried to hook up a DVD player or any other source? If so does the color come back? If not then I recommend you call for warranty service if the set is in warranty, sounds like the vidoe processors are bad on the main board
