LG W2452v - Monitor turns on and off every 5 minuites...

Hello all,
2 weeks ago i bought this monitor and after installing its drivers i replaced the analog cable with the DVI one.
Since then(even after i formatted my pc and installing a fresh copy of windows) i get the same problem:
every few minuites the monitor switches off for a second and then switches on again...
I contacted the LG and told me first to install the drivers with the analog cable and then to plug the DVI.
I did what they told me to but the problem remains!
Please help me solve it...

Using a DVI cable on a ATI Radeon 9250 video card.
The monitor turns off the video for a second or two randomly.
No driver installed on XP, just plug-and-play monitor.

Same here, bought it a week ago.. reported the problem, the store gave me a brand new one. BUT the same problem! I´ts not my PC, tested it with other monitors both ports(d-sub/dvi)!!
And I don´t want to use the D-SUB port.. I´ll use it for my TV!
I think is something related with the Ez zooming and the 4:3 in wide features.. appears to be some combination off those two that causes this bug. I´ll do some this week.. I´ll get back to you if I find something out!

I solved the problem by not using the DVI cable. I used the D-Sub cable. If your pc does not have D-sub connector then use an adaptor. I not only solved the problem but got the full 1920 x 1200 resolution

There's no sulution for that. Even LG support team has said that the only solution for it is to swap the monitors and wish for a good luck.

We had two monitors using as dual monitor in our desktop machine. One was LG model W2361VV 23' and the other one was Samsung 22'. The LG monitor started to flash on and off itself after a week.

We contacted LG support; they sent us another one; the new one started to do the same thing again. Samsung monitor has no problem at all but this cheap LG monitor has been giving us a hell problem.

So the only solution is : don't buy LG products

    I also recognise this problem.

    Either
    don't use the DVI-cable
Turning monitor off and then on solves the problem for me

    much annoying though

Easy set package won't open. Monitor Driver won't install.

Hi mquinhoneiro,

I got the same problem. Probably there is something with EasySet Package. First time I installed driver + easyset like instruction said a I got "osd locked".

My solution:

1. Unistall your ati/nvidia driver with control panels
2. restart computer
3. you monitor probably will display 640x480 standard resolution
4. system recognise your vga card and install standard driver
5. restart
6. install lg driver depend on our monitor and connection
7. then should work. if not
b) install again but this time when you press install hold for 10 seconds  menu button.
8. update driver from nvidia/ati site.

For me this help but easyshare wont install again. But I don't use it .

Anyway monitor is good for the price but have little "cool" colors (perhaps from blue lcd led).

My configuration for ~6500k setting

gamma 0
red 55    ( 60 if you want more red)
blue 55   (45)
green 55  (45)
brightness 48 saturation 70

Based on your description, it appears that the monitor is faulty. Since it is only a week old, you should have no problem exchanging it.

Flatron W2252TQ goes into 'power saving mode'

I had a similar problem with an LG monitor that I resolved by connecting the analogue cable as well as the digital cable from the pc. This problem must be caused by the monitor not receiving a digital signal.

Viewsonic monitor not detected after service

Hello,
If you are running DVI-D(the white connector) then it isn't getting a digital handshake. If you have inspected the connection between the 2 and make sure there is no bent pins inside the connector that it mates with. If you have another computer, try to connect to that one.
Open windows start menu, right click on my computer, then choose properties. Next choose Hardware, then Device manager. Once there, double click on display adapters to see if installed correctly. If good, click Monitors. If good, then your video card driver must need reinstall or update as usual. Also do you have the correct driver for you monitor? How does it react when you uninstall the monitor driver(can you select 32bit and higher resolution in default drivers?
If none of this works, I would suspect that the replaced component failed due to static or faulty components within the electronics.
Is there any other changes to the PC (new video card, updated Directx9.0?)

Hope this helps and let me know if I can be of anymore assistance?

Monitor flashing

I have a similar problem with my screen, same one, 15". For a period of two years it would turn black for an instant and resume functioning. Since two weeks it only flashes the picture for an instant and then turns black again. We opened it up to check the wiring but nothing wrong there. We are 99.99% sure that the problem is in the screen itself and has nothing to do with drivers or anything else in the computer.
If you bought it less than 3 years ago and since it is probably a result of faulty construction, it should fall under warranty (by european law).
I am going to take mine to a repairman tomorrow, i will inform you wether the screen can be repaired or not.

Greetings,
Rengenier.
