I put a lock to open pin on my tablet and have forgotteb what it was

You'll have to do a factory reset to it. If you can hook it to the computer and do it, great, but there may be a combination of buttons you can press to reset it. I forgot my old ipad password once, had to hold the power and home keys at the same time to get back into it.

How do i reset the 4 diget code the model number A1137 my grandson was messing with it and now it wants a 4 diget code and wont do anything else

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post. Thank you for choosing FixYa to solve you problem. You want to know how to reset the 4 digit code for the Apple Nano A1137 4GB MP3 Player and the device won't operate unless you have this code. I am about to list the steps to reseting this code so you can resume use of your product (If the device will let you do this).

If you can remember the combination.
  1. On your main menu, choose Extras.
  2. Choose Screen Lock.
  3. Choose Reset.
  4. If you know your combination, program this into the combination screen.
  5. A screen will come up for you to enter a new combination, program your new combination into the new combination screen.
If you can't remember the combination.

Try connecting the iPod to its designated computer. Doing this will unlock it automatically. If it still will not unlock, you will have to restore everything via a system restore from iTunes. To do system restore (if neccessary):
  1. Go to http://www.apple.com/ipod/start to make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your PC.
  2. Connect your iPod to your PC using the USB to Dock connector cable.
  3. If you haven't gone into iTunes, do so now. When you get there, find the source list and click iPod Nano. Then click the "Summary" tab. The Version section will tell you if your device needs to be updated with a newer version of iTunes or not.
  4. If iTunes software needs to be updated, click Update. If not, bypass this step.
  5. Click Restore. Be advised that when you click this, you will lose all of your data and the device will be resetted to factory settings.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your system restore process.
In the future, if you want to reset or change your screen lock passcode, follow the "If you can remember the combination" steps located above the "If you can't remember the combination" steps. You can also switch the "Hold" switch to make your buttons unusable. An orange bar or light should appear when this is activated. To unlock the "Hold" switch, just switch in the opposite direction of where you switched it before.

My daughters 2g nano is locked, we dont know the number, how do we unlock it? there is a safe combination dial on the screen which we can`t get past.

Unlocking iPod
You can unlock iPod in one of two ways:
 Enter the combination on iPod using the same controls you used to set the combination. If you do not enter the correct combination, the digits onscreen flash red. When you enter the combination correctly, iPod will unlock and return you to the last viewed screen.
 Connect iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can’t unlock iPod using either of these methods, you can restore your iPod to factory settings. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.

Important: Apple representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can’t unlock your iPod and you don’t have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the iPod, which will erase all music and data.

My ipod has a lock screen and I dont know the combination

There is a hold or lock switch on the side of the player - unlock it. See user's manual to get a visual on where this lock switch is.

If it is asking for a password and you don't have the password, you will have to do a Restore in iTunes to unlock it.

Apple ipod 1gb locked and dont know the combination and cant sync

Connect it to the computer you normally sync with.

Open iTunes then disconnect the iPod.

If that doesn't work you can "hard reset" by restoring it to factory defaults. Doing this also erases everything you have on it so you will lose your movies, music, files, etc.

Connect it to the computer and open iTunes.

Click "Restore" and select "Restore" or "Restore and Update" to make sure you're on the latest firmware.

Good luck.
