U have to go to radioshackand get a 1/8 to dual rca y-adapter then u plug it in to ur tv , if its a philips like u say itis it has a audio out put for headphones on the left bottom corner on the back of the tv, just plug it in and then lower the volume on the bose system and on your tv remote press menu, tv menu will come on on the tv screen go to it, or press ok on the remote, on tv screen will say tv setting press ok on remote, go to sound, go to headphone volume, put it on 60 its the perfect setting on for your tv DO NOT go over 65 it will distotion the equilizer on the bose, well this work for me but if i find out an other way ill let you all know

Have a Bose 3-2-1 Series III. When I put in a DVD, I get sound through the Bose but no picture on my Pioneer TV. This is the second time it has happened. The first time it, we managed to get it going...

Here are 3 things to try and an if all else fails at the end.

1) Make sure the TV is set to the correct Video Input to see the video from DVDs on the Bose system.
• Make sure a DVD is in the disc tray.
• If the TV is connected to the media center using the HDMI cable:
Switch from one Video Input to another and then back to the original input.

2) Turn everything off, then:
Turn on the TV and set the TV Video Input for the Bose system video.
Turn on the Bose system and press DVD.

3) Turn off both the TV and the Bose system and then:
Unplug the HDMI cable from both ends.
Disconnect the power cables from both your TV and the Bose 321 system.
Re-connect power to the TV and to the Bose 321 system.
When the Bose 321 system startup message disappears from the display,
re-connect the HDMI cable to the TV then Bose 321 system.
Turn on the TV first, then turn on the Bose 321 system.

If all the above fail then disconnect the HDMI cable that connects the TV to the Bose 321 system and reconnect the two using a Component cable, an S-Video cable, or the Composite cable provided with the system.

Is it better too hook up a optical audio cable from a PS3 to a bose 321 series III or to hook up the optical audio cable from my TV audio out to the bose 321 system?

Hello, its always better to go the shortest route this would be ps3 right to the bose there are too many menu variables ,circuits, that would be involved if you involve the tv output as well. that theory applies to video as well always go directly from source to load without any additional switches (circuits) when possible.

HOW TO INSTALL BOSE 321 SERIES THROUGH TV AND SATELITE RECEIVER

Hi! It would just be easy. Just prepare RCA cables and connect the cables to the tv and satellite receiver. Link the TV and satellite audio output to the BOSE audio input. Good luck and have a good one!

I cant get my ps3 to come through my bose 123 system

More specifics would be helpful. To connect a PS3 to a 321 via optical, it depends on what series of 321 you have, but you need to assign the optical connection via the system menu. If this is the series 1 321, it's the settings menu. It can be assigned to any input "AUX etc.."

Reset all EQ settings to 0 for a starter. It sounds as if it is EQ'd down all the way.

Ipod nano connector for Bose 321 GS Series III

OK! The cheapeast and most simple way would for you is to get a 1/8th inch conector jack that adapts into red/white RCA jacks (it will have a couple feet of wire in between the jacks) plug the 1/8 inch adapter into the jack on I-POD and the RED/WHITE ends into the back of your systems aux inputs RED/WHITE! OR tape input ect! make sure I-POD is turned up! and you may have to adjust I pod eq to get the best sound out of system! (OH you can get this adatper at any radio shack or wall-mart!)

PCM 2.0

I had the same problem with my 321 system. The fix is in the cable box settings. You want to change the Digital Out on the cable box..my choices were HDMI....Dolby Digital..and None. Choose Dolby Digital and it will show up on your Bose 321 display. I also have my cable box connected to my bose system via optical digital cable...and a digital coaxel cable from my dvr to my bose. Change that output setting on my cable box took care of the PCM 2.0 problem for me.
