Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
My hp 9000dv crashed and I can't seem to start it in safe mode, last know good config. or any of the other choices. It always gets to the point where the screen says microsoft and the bar graph makes it to 3/4 of the way across then it shuts down again
Firstly you should preform a HDD check. There should be a built in HDD check somewhere in the BIOS. Enter the BIOS by pressing F10 at the HP logo during boot.
I would strongly recomend using another HDD checks if you are able to, as the built in one dont always find the errors. The one we use at work is MHDD(you can find it with a quick google search).
If the HDD is OK you should try running a full system recovery. You can start the recovery process by pressing F11 at the HP logo during boot.
If the HDD is defective or this doesnt solve the issue the unit will most need to be sendt in for service.
