Bugaboo Cameleon Fitting a replacement brake shoe

Hi, We snapped our brake shoe off the left side of the chassis, the oppopsite one to the side with the brake lever. However we are unsure how to fit the other and remove the snapped shoe. Bugaboo have sent us the replacement part but no instructions on how to fit it. We have taken out the small grub screw but the fitting seems to be spring loaded?! Bugaboo just told me to snap it off but it doesn't seem right? I don't want to have to buy a new chassis! Would appreciate your advice, many thanks.

Bugaboo cameleon

Hi,

Based on what you have described, it sounds like the silver domed cover (where the handle meets the bottom of the chassis) may be damaged, this may mean a new chassis is required.
I would suggest that you contact your retailer for repair advice (if this is still within the warranty period) or contact Bugaboo directly on the website link below:

www.bugaboo.com

Please note that you will need to have your chassis serial number to hand.

I hope this helps.
