Question about Epson Stylus C86 InkJet Printer
I live in Spain and my local electronics centre sold me He said compatable inks with the correct type no and cartridge size but the epson system control refuses to accept the cartridges. I have tried the maintainence boxes and loading instructions and also cleaning the head "Which the machine did" Carrumba!!!!! but returned to red ink light immediatewly.
Being an old duffer not that knowledable with laptops and printers is there anyway round this prob or do I have to buy genuine Epson cartridges, easier said than done where we live. Anyone HELP cheers
It's entirely possible that you've been sold CX7400 cartridges and not DX compatible versions.
I would see if you can source some cartridges from somewhere in the UK that are compatible and see if that solves the problem...
It's also possible that the cartridge chips are soiled, broken or similar so I'd take them back to the store and get a refund.
Hope that helps.
