The beeping when powering on is from the keyboard buffer being filled up by a stuck key. Same thing in windows. Best bet is to just replace it as it is pretty cheap.

Here is a link for one for $25

Easy to swap out also , here is a step by step

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Touchpad sensitivity

You can change the sensitivity by entering Dell Touchpad utility (in Control Panel -> Mouse, if you DON'T have any external mice installed)

Maybe it is also enough to calibrate the mouse speed in Control Panel -> Mouse.

DELL LAPTOP INSPIRON 6400 MY LAPTOP BATTERY IS SHOWING STATUS ( UNKNOWN ) ON WINDOWS & ON BIOS IT SAYSS BATTERY NOT INSTALLED

Here are my recommendations for this issue:

1. Reseat the battery.
2. Remove All External Components
3. Check the battery connectors on the battery and the system. Examine the connector on the battery and the system. Make sure that there is no physical damage and that it is clear of debris.
4. Remove All External Components
5. Try a known-good battery in the system, if available.

I just had my dell inspiron e1505 rebooted and operating system reinstalled over phone with dell and now when i type sometimes my cursor and keys jump all around my document.

The sensitivity on the Touchpad may be too light. Go into Control Panel and click on Touchpad/keyboard to reduce the sensivity level. Also, you can also look at the settings in the Mouse Icon while you are in Control Panel again to check the sensitivity.

Touchpad replacement

You can replace the touchpad.

However, the Dell touchpad is part of the "Palm Rest" assembly (See item #4 on this page of the service manual). The "Palm Rest" is a large part which consists of the entire top of the computer surrounding the keyboard).

This is difficult to determine online, because we need to search for "Palm Rest" not "touchpad".
