1. Hit the store button
2. Type in the phone number
3. Hit store again
4. Hit the button you want it stored to M1, M2, or M3, if using the little auto dial buttons you need to hit the Auto button and then the little buttons.

To auto dial you just hit M1, M2, or M3. For the little buttons you need to hit Auto first then the little button. There is no beep when you hit the Auto button but it is working.

Hope that this helps

How to install phone no. in ET 3576 to memory

I think most Radio Shack phones work pretty much the same. They don't have a manual available for yours so I'm not absolutely sure, but I've had a couple of their phones. To store a number in those, it was just three steps:
  1. Press MEM
  2. Enter the number to dial
  3. Press MEM again, followed by the location button (on phones with single buttons for emergency numbers) or the memory location (one or two digits depending on the number of memory locations)
Try these steps and see if it works for your model.

I need to know how to program the numbers into the speed dial option. My mother's phone is a table set with large numbers #29267A ... close enough?

Before you store a telephone number in memory, make sure the dialing mode is
correctly set for the type of service you have. The default dialing mode is tone
(touch-tone), so if you have pulse (rotary) service, you must first change the dialing
mode. See “To Set the Dial Mode.” The following buttons can be stored into any
memory location: 0-9.
STORING FREQUENTLY CALLED NUMBERS
1. Pick up the handset.
2.Press the store button.
3. Push the desired memory location button.
4. Press the store button.
5.Use the handset number keys to enter the telephone number (up to 16-digits)
and press the store button.
6.Hang up the handset.
NOTE: If you make a mistake, use the delete button to delete wrong digits.
CHANGING A STORED NUMBER
Repeat the storage sequence above. The new number replaces the old number at
the memory location.
ERASING A STORED NUMBER
1. Pick up the handset.
2.Press the store button.
3.Press the memory location (0-9) to be erased.
4.Press delete for three seconds until the number in the display is erased.
5.Hang up the handset.
DIALING FREQUENTLY CALLED NUMBERS
1. Pick up the handset and press the mem button.
2. Press 0-9 for the memory location. The number dials automatically.
OR
1. Pick up the handset and press the dial button.
2. Press the review button for the desired memory location.
3. Press the dial button to dial the number.
OR
1. Press dial button while the handset is still in the cradle.
2. Press the review button for the desired memory location, lift the handset and the
number dials automatically.

Storing memory numbers

1 - Lift the receiver and get the dial tone.
2 - Hit 'Store'
3 - Enter the number you wish to store in the phone
4 - Hit the store button again
5 - Hit the memory button you wish to store the number into
6 - Hang up!

This should store the number wherever you want to put it. Remember if you want to store it in one of the 'lower' positions (second line of the memory index card) push the 'Shift' button before you push the memory button for that location.
