Mintcraft kitchen faucet # 630-553 leaking from small hole in back of faucet

The hole is very small in the tail pipe and when you throw food, grease, it clogs this hole either partially or fully. When this happens then the water runs all over the sink through the weep hole. Which is the worst design I ever seen. By hand unscrew the black compression nut. Get a pipe cleaner or piece of wire, clean out the tube and especially the drain saddle. Reassemble and problem should be fixed.

We just installed a new moen 4 inch centerset Lindley faucett with drain for our bathroom. The drain piece has 2 molded holes in it. We are experiencing leaks from this pipe. How are we supposed to fix...

Ok I asked for some more information, but let me give it a try to help you with what I have here.

The two holes are for water to drain out of the over flow of the sink. If you look at the sink on the front side you may have to feel but there is one hole or up to three little ones. They take off water when someone walks away with the faucet on and they it goes down the drain and not on the floor.

Now if the sink your putting this in is a steel sink that does not have an over flow it will leak and you need an other drain system that is made for a sink with no over flow.

Places like manufactored homes, boats, campers would be where you would find a sink that does not have a over flow. Now with the over flow out if the sink does is not about1 inch thick.

if not use try more putty

What is the best product to use to clean a Kohler porcelain sink. I have water spots and Kohler says to use nothing abrasive

HI the best thing to use a a bathroom cream type cleaner these have no abrasive in them but are strong enough to remove water spots, it used to be called jiff think its called siff now check in your local superstore or supermarket for a cream bathroom cleaner.

then pour it onto the stains and leave it on their for about 15 min then rub it in using the soft side of a cleaning sponge not the abrasive side and keep working it in for about 5 to 10 min then rinse it off with hot water, you may have to work in it quite hard but it should get the stains out for you with no problems

let me know how you get on ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts as people keep forgetting to rate the answers

My Bathroom Extractor Fan does not work properly and for some reason the bathroom smells of cigarette smoke when the upstairs neighbours are at home!! Our landlord say's this is not possible!!!

Yes, very possible!. The bathroom fan is connected together, and the upstairs one is down-drafting to you. Have the exhaust checked for blockage, or buy a fan that has a built-in damper that closes the exit when not in use.

Leak from bathroom sink behind the wall

hello , usually there will be water supply lines coming in from behind the wall area and if it isnt leaking at the supply valve it self then you may need to open up the wall area behind the sink and find out what is leaking it depends on what type of pipe is used most likely you have cooper tubing and sometimes these tubes after a while may leak or form small holes or it may be a leak at a soldered joint remeber there are 2 lines one for hot one for cold and you can turn the off by shuting off your water at the main valve then repair the leaking area.

Small chips and scratches

If your sink is porcelain or enamel, you can use a "tub refinishing" epoxy to resurface the sink. The two-part epoxies (that you have to mix together) appear to work much better than the non-mixing epoxies. Make sure that you follow all directions. Also, be aware that anything you use to resurface with will not be as durable as the original porcelain or enamel (so stay away from harsh abrasives). You may want to mix only a portion of the epoxy and retain the rest to fix any issues that develop over time. As long as you don't mix the two parts, they should be good for many years.
