Panasonic NV-VP33, When you play back VHS tapes on the VCR the picture quality is poor & covered in inetrference have tried the tracking adjustment but this doesn't help. played a tape recorded on this machine on another VCR & the quality of picture seemed reasonable. Looking for advice as don't want to spend a fortune on a repair if this is sign of other problems about to happen

Hi,sounds like your tape heads are dirty.Do not clean them with a tape cleaner as they do more harm than good. They need to be cleaned by someone who knows.Hope this helps. jamie

How to fix my Toshiba DVR620's Poor VHS Quality?

The flying head is dirty. Open the unit and clean it with isopropylic alcohol or similar with a smooth cloth like the same used to glass clean.

Audio noise on some, but not all VHS tapes

Hi,

First thing i would say is go for the HI-FI audio would go in and out and pop etc. Adjusting the tracking would bring in the audio, but sometimes the video would get fuzzy. Get the picture right and the audio goes out. Switch to Linear (mono on some VCRs) and the audio should be fine.

Finally if this doesn't solve your problem then i would suggest you to give it to repair and they will fix it.

Goodluck..

Cannot play certain dvd discs the make is panasonic model num nv vp33

Panasonic NV-VP33 is a DVD/VCR combo unit. These are good, but limited in DVD media playback formats. It depends on the types of DVDs you are trying to play, and their region codes (if they apply).

This model will NOT play:

DVD-ROM / DVD audio / DVD+R (unfinalised) / DVD-RW / Blu-Ray (obviously).

This model WILL play:

DVD-R (finalised) / DVD-RAM (no finalising required) shop-bought DVD movies / CD-R (for JPEG/MP3/DivX) / DVD-R DL (finalised) / DVD+RW (titled or with a top menu to make them compatible with other players, but again, finalising not required).

You didn't specify which DVDs do not play in your unit.

I would be very concerned if your player didn't read ANY DVDs at all. I assume the image below is what the model looks like. I have never had any problems with mine.

VCR tape playback not good

Check your "tracking" If the tape played fine in the old machine, then tracking is the answer, provided that the new machine records good.

Panasonic DMR-EZ47V Fuzzy horizontal line in VHS mode

Dirty heads or the recording was from a different brand VCR and the Panasonic cant get the right tracking. Try manual tracking just a little in either direction to you get the right one.
