Won't charge

Not really enough info here but I'm assuming you have a laptop that won't charge?

If the laptop runs while plugged into the AC power adapter but will not charge the battery, the battery will need to be replaced.

If the laptop will not run with AC adapter AND it won't charge you should test the AC adapter to confirm operation. It may be faulty. If it's not you likely have a bad system board on the laptop and should replace the laptop.

Microcenter.com has very good refurbished laptop deals that may suit your needs.

Hey my compaq labtop battery wont work i tried everything like charging all night -nothing please if you know how to fix this please e-mail me at jessezink@yahoo.com

The battery may have a failed protective device inside of it. If it new, the battery should be covered by warranty.

When the battery is installed in laptop and charger plugged in, there should be a light on laptop that lights up to show it is plugged into a charging source/ power source.

if the light does not light, see if it will light up with battery removed from laptop. If it does not light up, and you cannot power up the laptop- the power supply has failed.

hold the reset button on UPS for 30secs while the power is turned on...
Then keep the UPS on charge for 16 hours with no load...
then check for the backup... while you shut down the computer you should not turn off the power supply to UPS...

My aspire 5740 showes 81% available but not charging, checked all power lines etc on balanced power. Bought laptop 3 weeks ago till today it charged up

Hi

Dont be panic. Your laptop has absolutely no problem.Your manufacturer had set a 80-20 policy for the laptop battery charging such that the battery wont be charged to 100 percent but it will charged only upto 80 percent. The makers of the lap are doing this because to give good life to the battery. You can change it by going into the power options inside control panel.

Mac Ibook Power supply problem

On Mac iBooks the orange light comes on when it charges the battery. Once the battery is charged it turns green. Im guessing the other powersupply was aftermarket or broken. EIther way, if it starts out green - recognizes the battery isnt full - turns orange for a while - then turns green when the battery is full, then the computer and powersupply are working perfectly. Enjoy your iBook!

Charging Problems with FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO PRO V2055

SOunds to me like the charge board inside the laptop has gone bad. If it will not run off of the mains supply without the battery and will not charge the battery, this is your problem. AS far as where you can get the parts or have it repaired. I am unsure of because I would need the full model and make of the laptop which didn't fit in the listing title bar above If you could send me more info, I would be glad to try to help.

Not charging

I found out how to solve this problem...first power down your computer. Then take out the battery, remove the power supply, and then hold down the power button for 30 secs. Put the power supply in only (not the battery). Start your computer after everything is done loading up put the battery back in. Give it a min. and then you should be able to roll your cursor over the battery life indicator in the lower right corner of you computer and is should say charging. I have found that other people have had this problem and it has worked for myself and for them.

Regarding battery problem/battery not charging

Hi Jasbir, Laptop batteries only have a set life span and if your battery does not hold charge the only solution is topurchase another battery. You will find the cheapest way to do this is to search the computer section of ebay [laptop assessories ]
and find the battery for your laptop model.
