I have a Kenmore 385 19153 the thread is breaking any keeps jamming in the bobbin

Could be threaded incorrectly. Remove the thread from the machine. Put in a brand new needle.. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread the top thread from the beginning. (AVOID old or bargain bin thread--might even try a different type of thread.) Check that the thread path is correct. Then put bobbin in the bobbin case and thread it through the tension. Check that the bobbin is turning the correct direction in the bobbin case. Install the bobbin case in the machine. Start out with the top tension set about the midway point and then tweak it from there to get the appropriate tension.

Pull the bobbin thread to the top of the fabric and gently hold both thread tails in your left hand while you slowly take the first few stitches.

If you continue to have issues, then you may need to have your machine serviced. It could be out of time or perhaps there is a snag or burr that is catching the thread.

it would be a good idea to have the machine checked to make sure
the hook and the hook race are working the way the should.
but first try a new needle
rethread the machine using every thread guide
make sure the bobbin is in the bobbin case correctly and turned the
correct direction in the bobbin case

I do not know how to thread my kenmore 385 sewing machine. I also need to know how to thread the bobbin.

They have threading diagrams for Kenmore 385 models here.
Scroll down until you get to the Kenmore section.
I think they include bobbin winding etc.
Hope this helps!

Singer Model 2638. What class bobbin do I use? Bobbin package says: consult manual, but it's not in there. Are they interchangeable as long as they fit?

Hi! Your machine uses Class15J bobbins (
No, bobbins aren't really interchangeable, even if they fit. For example, I have a Kenmore 385 Elite and a Brother SX-8060. One (the Kenmore) uses bobbins with a curved top and bottom. The Brother uses bobbins that are flat on top and bottom. Either bobbin fits in either machine. But if I use a curved top and bottom in the Brother, it clicks and clacks and has a greater tendency to jam than the flat bobbins. Likewise, the Kenmore is just happier with its curved bobbins.
Hope this helps!

I HAVE Kenmore 385 165 24 bobbin case is loose and I can not get even one stich. Do I miss a srew to hold it in a place? Thanks for help.

if the bobbin case is loose and pops out when started. it is not inserted correctly

make sure you hold the clasp when inserting case and hear the slick into place

make sure upper thread is threaded right and the bobbin thread is even

bring bobbin thread up and pull both threads to the back about fou inches

hold threads and stich a few stiches by hand or foot pedal befor letting fo of the thread.

Bobbin thread not catchinig Kenmore model 385 12912890

I am going to guess that you have the bobbin thread facing the wrong way. When you
put it in the case, open part facing you, make sure the thread is going clockwise.
That should fix the problem.

Kenmore 385 series

The bobbin case is most likely not adjusted properly. The bobbin case has a small piece of metal that can be loosened with a screwdriver. Once it is loose you need to move it to a point that won't allow the case to move. The bobbin case must only be moved to a point to stop the bobbin case from movement. If it is too tight it will cause the machine from sewing.
