Here are a few software that can be used to Recoverdata from harddrive. A quick search on google you should be able to find thedownload links for these.
EasyRecovery Pro

All outlook express data files are located in “C:Documentsand Settings<User>Local SettingsApplicationDataIdentities{GUID}MicrosoftOutlook Express” for Windows XP, which containfiles like Inbox.dbx, Drafts.dbx, Sent Items.dbx, Deleted Items.dbx etc.Recovering the whole folder should get back all your mails.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

download a free program called RECOVA.......this great and free program will scan your hard drive and then give you a long list of programs and files to recover. Warning, if you have installed other programs on this computer you may have totally overwritten your lost data! Good luck

I have lost Heritage Programme and all its content, because everything on my computer uninstalled; how can I restore this?

The only way to retrieve data when you have removed it or deleted it; is to, get a software program that restores lost data. If your Windows RESTORE program works, try that first. If not all hidden data can be brought back with and external disc.

I have a Samsung rv510 it was working fine now all of a sudden I switch it on and it goes straight to Samsung recovery solution I've tried restore and back up but still I can't load up windows this is

Okay... here's the situation:

FIRST..you're computer is booting JUST FINE...
Samsung "recovery" has been activated for "some" reason.

Now-- I'll assume your data is backed up, and/or if you formatted (erased) your hard-drive you wouldn't lose anything... that may not be the case..if its not--- find a local data-recovery-center to back your drive up to a CD-- your data is NOT lost.

second..you are booting Windows 7... Do this, try it- and come back..

Boot the computer... when it starts up.. hit the F8 key..over and over..and over..and over.. yes.. 1000's of times.. while it's booting.

It "SHOULD" give you a screen to boot to "Last Good Known Configuration"... Select that.

See if that works..and write me back.. if not, we'll work further... What you are experiencing is an application (from SS) that for some reason things you need to "recover".. You probably don't.

Try that..and write me back.

How do I retrieve lost files on Toshiba satellite windows 7 system

If the computer was formatted and was untouched after you will need recovery software to get the data back GetDataBackNTFS is really good costs about $59. If the computer no longer boots into windows you will need to pull the drive out (Typically 2 screws on back) Should be a small panel with a picture of little discs on it. Plug it into another computer. If it is detected you can simply copy and paste to the second computer, then put the drive back into the laptop and use your system recovery discs to restore the computer back to factory default and copy your data back over. If you plug the drive into another computer and it is not detected, the drive is probably damaged and would require a data recovery company to retrieve the data this can cost from $500-2000 depending on the recovery method.

I own a Western Digital MD 2500 external hard drive that makes a sound that its booting up and then the sound kind of gives up so to speak. Is there a way of fixing it or sending it to a company to...

the question for you is; how valuable is the data?  Most retrieval companies run someplace over 1000 dollars and are usually pretty good, but it takes time and money to get it back.Does it show up as a drive letter anymore?  If it does you might be able to use a retrieval such Active @Undelete but that is not free either and the more you boot it and try to read it the less likely an retrieval company will be able to get the data.

Compaq will not boot

Sounds like your hard drive has begun to fail or has failed. Enter into your BIOS again and find the menu choice that lets you reset everything back to the defaults.

If you have the recovery CD that came with your Compaq you can try running that to see if it will mark the bad spots on the drive and allow you to continue using it.

I would recommend that you resign yourself to the fact that you will have to replace the drive soon. If there is valuable data on the drive, buy a new hard drive, install it and run the recovery CD on it. When you are able to boot up to Windows successfully, shut it down, unplug power and add the old drive as a slave to see if you can retrieve data from it.

If that does not work and the data is worth paying some serious money to retrieve, there are places that are able to retreive data even if the drive will not even spin. They are expensive!

I've tried to reboot my daughters laptop. It is vista. I held down f8 and tried several of the repairs but nothing has made it work. I tried starting it in safe mode but it just stops. Is there anything...

You should download UBCD4Win and try booting from the UBCD4Win CD/DVDto recover your files. Since you said you've tried booting into Safe Mode but it didn't work, from my experience, most probably the OS is corrupted. Try using UBCD4Win to recover your files to a USB drive first and then reformat the hard drive and reinstall Vista. Hope that works for you. Good luck
