Question about Samsung DLP HL-P5663W 56" TV

I have a Samsung SP43Q5HL1X CTV 108cm Rear projection TV. It just turned itself off and now when i try to turn it on, the red light comes on but the screen stays off. There is no picture or sound, Is it stuffed or can it be easily fixed?

Probably easily fixed the protection circuit is kicking in. ie something is wrong with the power supply or something it supplies is not giving the correct feedback. If you press the remote does the led flash on the tv. If so it is trying to power up. You could open it up if you are electricly safe. And have a look at the condition of the components. Leave it for a while and it may come on on its own a while being 15 mins

Tv keeps turning itself off


The cooling system in the set maybe malfunctioning. this set run hot and they have built in fans. Have you tried cleaning the vents and or fans?

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.

have you changed the lamp in this set. If you look by the red light it probably says lamp

Red light flashing 4 times, tv turns its self off


Start by removing and inspecting the bulb. The filament you're looking for is encased in the glass tube in the center of the lamp itself. Kindof difficult to see unless you're at the right angle. 9 times out of 10 that solves the problem. If not move on to the ballast, the small circuit board directly underneath the lamp housing.
