When the CD does not read any disk, that is usually because of a problem with the optical laser lens that is dirty, faulty or opaque, and will start operating on certain disks better than others.

In that case you will hear disk spinning, whirring and clicking, but the TOC (table of content track at start of CD will not be read, therefore the error.

When this problem is beginning you may be able to read only CD, DVD or Blue ray, or for example only DVD-R and not +R , or only to read and not to write and so on. After more prolonged usage , often the unit goes losing the rest of functions, and ends up not reading anything at all.

If instead there is no noise, and disk does not spin at all , then there is a faulty motor, or the motor micro-switch is bad. This situation is far less common than the lens problem.

Try first using a CD lens cleaner disk to clean the lens. If that does not work you will need to disassemble the drive , and clean lens directly with cotton tips and isopropyl alcohol, or to replace the CD drive unit.

My dryer is model res7648eq2..i have power to it and the light on the inside comes on just wont start when i push the button..it worked earlier today

Do not fear because all may not be lost! Follow these steps to determine why your computer won't turn on.
Difficulty: Average Time Required: Anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours or more depending on why the computer won't turn on Here's How:
  1. Try to relax! There's a good chance you can figure out exactly why your computer won't start and then get it back up and running.
I don't usually start a troubleshooting guide with the same advice a therapist might give her client, but when faced with a computer that won't start most people tend to panic, worried that all the data on their PC is gone forever.
It's true that the most common reason a computer won't start is because a piece of hardware has failed or is causing a problem but that hardware isn't usually a hard drive. Your data is probably safe - just not accessible.
  2. . Try these steps if your computer will not turn on and is showing no sign at all of receiving power - no fans running and no lights on the computer case.
Important: You may or may not see a light on the back of your PC depending on the kind of power supply you have and the exact cause of the problem.
Note: Don't worry about the monitor yet. If the computer is not turning on because of a power issue then the monitor certainly can't display anything from the computer. Your monitor light will likely be amber/yellow if your computer has stopped sending information to it.
  3. Follow these steps if, when you turn your computer on, it promptly powers back off.
You'll probably hear the fans inside your computer turn on, see the lights on the front of your computer turn on or flash, and then it will all stop - always before the boot process is complete. You may or may not also hear beeping coming from inside your PC
  • If your desktop computer does nothing at all when you try to start it, first check that the power cable is securely plugged in at the back of the computer as well as into a working power outlet. It's amazing how often this is the case.
  • If you're starting from a button on the keyboard, make sure the keyboard is connected to the computer.
  • If the computer is plugged into a surge protector, see if the surge protector has a reset switch that you can push. (If it doesn't have a reset switch and the problem is with the surge protector, it will need to be replaced.) Try plugging a lamp or other device into one of the surge protector's outlets to make sure it's working.
  • If you can hear the computer's fan or hard-disk drive, or if you can see indicator lights on the main unit but the monitor stays dark, make sure that the monitor is connected to a working power source, that it's turned on and that it's securely connected to the computer via the video cable.
  • If the monitor and computer have power but the computer displays a "Non-system disk or disk error" message, check to make sure you didn't leave a disk in the A: drive. If you did, eject it and restart the computer.
  • If the operating system still won't start even though the computer and monitor have power, try restarting with a Windows CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive or, if you've got a Macintosh, with a Mac OS disc in the CD-ROM drive. (You can start a Mac from the CDROM drive by holding down the C key while starting up.)
  • If the operating system then starts, your problem is probably with the startup hard drive or with the operating system installed on it. If you can't fix the drive, you'll have to replace it
  • please tell how these work by staying how help

Getting three beeps with my asus m4a785t-m motherboard initializi

Okay, not much else is mentioned about the system so I would assume you have one CD/DVD drive and now two HDDs and your new HDD is still set to factory default of "Cable Select" or CD, if not and the new hard drive is a replacement for a damaged OS (Operating System) drive, then you need to insert the Windows OS Installation disk prior to booting and set the system to check your CD-ROM before checking Hard disks, for the OS.

First off if IDE, you have a ribbon that resembles this [====[========[ the furthest to the right would be what plugs into you motherboard, being the one with the furthest distance between itself and the next plug/connector.The one on the other end is for the Master drive and teh middle one is for Slave.

If only one HDD, then the jumper for the new drive needs to be set to Master and the CD/DVD-ROM needs to be set to Slave.
    • If two HDDs & one CD/DVD Rom, On the primary IDE Controller, set the OS HDD to Master, the CD/DVD-Rom to Slave & put the second HDD on the secondary IDE Controller as Master.
    • If two HDDs & 2 CD/DVD-Roms they must be set up on totally different IDE controllers to cancel out the chance of cross-communication. This happens on some systems because of having two CD/DVD Roms and/or two IDEs. So, we set the OS HDD to Master on the Primary IDE Controller & we set the CD/DVD-Rom to Master on the second IDE controller and the
I would normally say that three beeps from the motherboard itself would be either graphics card or memory problems, normally solved by simply pulling either or both and reseating them. Wear Nitrile gloves (the blue ones) to keep oils and static charge from damaging the components, ground yourself &/or touch the case before and while pulling the components. Check this site for "Post Codes" if the beeps are coming from the MoBo... if you have Award BIOS (should show what BIOS brand when booting up the system)

    Award BIOS Post Codes

If three beeps from the system itself, then that would say it can't find the OS... and you might possibly also find an error on the monitor, stating something similar to "no power to monitor".

If you don't have an illustration on your drive telling you what pins are for what when it comes to the jumper, then search google for the drive brand and the word "jumper" or words "jumper configuration" or "jumper placement"

    example: Maxtor Jumper configuration

If the system is SATA only (I believe it to have at least one IDE controller unless the board's controllers are all blue & black, to which I see a controller, but can't tell if it is FDE or IDE), then you'll most likely have to enable the SATA controllers in BIOS and set the boot preference/sequence/order as mentioned above, to check the correct disk for the OS, after removable devices & CD-ROM. Should be that order anyway, with floppy seek disabled to save wear on the head.

Hope that was not too much and that it helps!

Washing machine won't start, after a minute or so screen flashes H then F then repeats

"FH" is a No Water Detect error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. The following link explains how to troubleshoot:
    http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608753-fh_error_code

This is one of those error codes that can be tricky to troublehsoot due to the many potential causes of the problem. My adivce to you is to eliminate the easy common sense items first such as the water taps not being turned on all the way, a clog in the drain pump, or a siphoning problem.

Each one of these washers come with a technical data sheet inside. To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The access screws are located under the bottom front edge of the panel. You may have to prop the two front fett of the washer up for better access ( a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel should drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls. The tech sheet lists all error code definitions, troubleshooting data, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. I mention the tech sheet because you may need it to troubleshoot this error code.

Read through the information provided and let me know if you have any further questions. I hope this can help you.

Convert Maytag Dryer to LP from Natural Gas?

yes it is very much necessary. the natural gas pressure is much lower that LP. it is @3.5 in, water column. The monometer is a pressure reading instrument that will tell what pressure is present at the gas source, appliance gas manifold and gas valve. Read the conversion kit instructions well. And adjust pressure according to data plate specifications. A u-tube water monometer is the best and most accurate however a standard analog will surfice. Please use caution.
