How good are you with electronic repairs...? Do it if only you are confident...

The way you describe you problem it seems more like poor solder connections somewhere on the board. Usually these are at the voltage regulators where there can be some heat. Also, look for any connections that appear to be grasiny or have rings and resolder them too.

Alternatively, suggest that you take it to the Denon service center closest to you.

Best of Luck..

Very interesting, I have heard similar experience of other customers with Denon's distributor in other parts as well.

Since your Denon is well out of warranty, they should actually not have any problem since you are paying for labour and parts.. Anyway, you could check up with some other local service center who do repair other brands of equipment.

I suggest not to open it yourself since you do not have the experience.

    Best of Luck!!

if the display did not lit and power indicator is flashing rapidly------you will have short circuit in speakers cables -----turn it off and remove short circuit cable-------or you have block in ventilation holes---------turn power off and leave it to cool down and remove anything block ventilation holes---and turn it on again after cooling---------another solution-------on screen display is set to off on system setup------turn it to on in system setup.

If DIGITAL sign blink, this mean DSP board is defective. It will cut the sound on the AMP section. DSp is maybe defective.

DENON AVR 2802 (NO SOUND)

If "Digital" sign blink on front panel, it means DSP do no start properly. If DSP do not start, main UC mute audio. Change IC, AT49LV002-70TC (IC 817 ) at DSP board (Denon P/N: 262 3010 006).
