Are you using the integrated chipset or did you add an AGP video card?

It depends on how much it is being taxed by the system.

The more demand a program requires , the more it gives.

This card is a very cheap way of providing AGP video.

It actually takes away from you systems RAM to give to the video subsystem.

See this link for details.

Driver de internet dell

Let me get my spanish going. There's no such thing as a Internet Driver. What is happening with your system? What happens when you click on Internet Explorer? You might have a connection problem instead of a driver problem.

I think you mean Network Driver. On the Dell Optiplex GX270 the NIC or Network Interface Card is standard on the computer. Every computer comes with one. So if you plug a network cable from your modem or router into the network card on the back of the computer it should light up if it's working. If it's not working you need to purchase a network card. Click Start/Control Panel/Network Connections and see if it says connected. If it does right click on it and select properties, then select the option near the bottom of the window that says "show icon in the notification area when connected" and click OK. Now if you look at the bottom right near the time you should see a computer with green lights on it. That means it's connected.

Assuming the card is there and lights up then that means your drivers are already loaded. But if by some freak chance they were not there you'll need an internet connection to go to google and type in the search "dell support" ( without the quotes). Look for drivers and downloads. Give it your computer model Dell Optiplex GX270 and your operating system. Download and install the driver.

How do i update video card driver for dell optiplex gx270

First of all you need to know what video card you have. If you have Windows and I assume you do go to Start > Control Panel (switch to classic view) > System click on Device Manager and in the list find 'Display Adapter'. The name of the driver appears. Make a note of it. Go directly to the website of Dell. Follow the instructions to download and install the right driver. Restart your computer to let it take effect.

Warning: this is the manual way to update. If you are not a tech guy, attempting to change video drivers could make your computer inoperable or cause severe problems. As a result, you can rely on a Drive Detective Software to help fix the driver issue automatically & accurately. This way also saves you time & energy.

My dell gx270 won't boot up. It comes on, I can

The first thing I would do is check the diagnostic lights at the back of the system. Usually on those model computers you'll see a set of 4 lights labled A, B, C, and D. These lights will tell you why the system isn't booting up. Below are the light diagnostics for your model.

Dell Diagnostic Lights

Also, this is a wierd fix, but it's worked before on over 100 Dell GX260's I've worked with. When the system is powered up, and not displaying anything, pull the power cord at the back. Normally this is NOT recommended, but yes, while the system is on, pull the power cord at the back. Plug it back in after 10 seconds or so, and power up the system. See if you see anything on the display.

Also, verify that the monitor is plugged in and working. You may have a dead video card. If you have both an onboard video card and an AGP video card, try plugging your monitor into the one that isn't in use currently. If it works there, you may have an issue with your other video device.

Best of luck!

Sacreen resolution problem

There are a couple of different video cards for that model. They're all listed under Video.

Dell GX270 Drivers Page

Check to see if you see either an ATI or NVIDIA sticker on your machine and that will narrow down the choices. Don't worry about downloading and installing the wrong one, nothing will happen except the machine telling you that it's not the right one.

Let me know if you get stuck and please don't forget to rate.

Best of luck!
