Re: friend cant see my webcam
Try both using the exact same version of Yahoo messenger. Sometimes different versions can give problems. Further you can check the firewall port settings to make sure the webcam feed can pass through the internet. Some details are available in this webcam post and the comments.

There are many ways to use your webcam on Yahoo Messenger. First off make sure you have logged in. Click the Messenger icon on your desktop. Then find the "Start My Webcam" button in Options to begin broadcasting. Another way is to, when talking to a friend, click the camera icon that appears in your chat window. You can also click on a contact on your Contact List and click 'Invite to View My Webcam.' When your chat begins your webcam will already be ready and on! And if you want to see who's cam is on find and click the 'View Webcam' link located in the IM box. But if you want to see who's watching you click 'Webcam' then 'Who's Watching Me' and find out which of your friends are watching your every move! Hope this helped! :D
first make sure your web cam is perfectly ok.
open yahoo messenger login your account
click messenger menu then click view webcam
then a window will open a warning message check donot show again then ok
then choose you internet connection choose broadband
then it will open a window with your webcam.
if you want your friends to view your webcam
just chat with them, and in action menu click invite to view my webcam.
you can see in your webcam window how many viewers you have and if you are broadcasting.
Make sure you're using the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger. Secondly, you'll see a clickable option named "Start My Webcam." After that, it will begin loading your webcam. Next, you'll see a little camera icon that appears in the chat window when you're talking with your friend(s). Click on the contact from your contact list, then click "Invite to View My Webcam." This will open a new IM window with your webcam live. Be sure to click "View Webcam" link while talking to others in the IM so you can see their webcams!
*Tip: You can use the "Super Webcam" mode to receive high quality video and imagery feed in your webcam chat!
1)log in using your account name and password. You'll need to create an account if you haven't done so already2)Click the 'Messenger' followed by the 'Start My Webcam' option. This will load your webcam, and is among the ways you can get your webcam to begin broadcasting. 3)Click on the camera icon that appears in a chat window while you are talking to a friend. 4)Click on a contact from your Contact List, then click 'Invite to View My Webcam.' This opens a new IM window with your webcam active 5)Click the 'View Webcam' link while talking to others in IM. This will allow you to see their webcams. 6)Use the 'Super Webcam' mode when you want to send and receive high-quality images and feeds. Broadband makes it possible to see one another in very high resolution, although even with high-end broadband your computer may slow down a bit because of the amount of memory and processing power this requires.7)Click 'Webcam' followed by the 'Who's Watching Me' button to see which of your friends is receiving your webcam's feed.
