Dell inspiron 1318 window vista webcam drivers &software not found.i want to download it

the software that you are using now for seeing the out of the camera may be corrupted.(I think so)
just reinstall your web cam software for once

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, thesupport download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop,better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages,the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operatingsystem. 1st You download Webcam Driver.
I have windows vista on
After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

Currently there aren't any drivers for your computer with Windows 7. Dell only offers drivers for your computer with Windows XP or Windows Vista. I would try using the Creative Labs Webcam Driver they have for Vista. Since many things about Vista & 7 are similar, often the drivers for Vista will work with Windows 7. Go to dell.com, enter the model of your computer, choose Vista as your operating system, then go to Input Devices, choose the Creative Webcam and download the driver to your desktop (I suggest against using Dell's Download Manager, just download via your browser like you usually would). Then install the driver. With any luck your will be up and running with your webcam.

You'll need to download the driver for your microphone.
After you've tried that then there's something wrong with it.

I just fixed this exact problem. I went to the dell website and found the drivers for the inspiron 1318, Be sure to check "all related drivers for your product" and choose the correct operating system which was defaulted to "bios" when I did this. Then there should be an audio tab with two possible downloads. I downloaded the one labeled "IDT-Driver" and then my microphone started working.

i finally succeeded installing windows xp in my dell inspiron 1318 after 3 weeks of trial and error in installing different drivers.. wheewwwww. hope this will help you. just search for the following filenames in google and please download it but if you know any free sites where i can upload the following files let me know, so i can upload it there for you to download..
