Question about T-Mobile Wing™ Smartphone

1 Answer

My phone has become super slow, when I try to do anything it takes like 2 minutes. When I try to text it will either do nothing for 2 minutes or it will just not show the words but still move the cursor. When also trying to tap on any program it will either just freeze or again take forever to get there. The only way I have been able to get it to work again is to take the battery out and then it works for maybe 5 minutes. Thanks for any advice

T-Mobile Wing is slow or freezes. cursor moves when typing but no words show. I have the exact same problem. Gonna check a few other resources out before I Reinstall though.

No volume for rings/texts

take the back cover off and see if the black mesh material is intact and still covering the internal speaker. blow out the speaker area if you can, and take your battery out of the phone and leave it out for about 20 minutes. put it back in and verify that your volume is all the way up, and its on the LOUD setting. also, try using a different ringtone, or just a differend sound all together......if you can, use a flashlight to shine through the mesh material that covers the internal speaker ( on the back of the phone, behind the back cover, to the left of the flash and lens) and try to see if it atleast APPEARS intact.......another thing you can try, would be to call that phone, and while the phone is ringing, place it up against your ear, without the back cover on the phone, and see if you can hear anything at all.

if this does not work, then you either have a bad speaker, or a bad conenction. either way, you need to take the phone back to the store and have them take it apart and inspect it, or just have them send it back to the manufacturer for repairs.......and enjoy the piece of **** phone that they give you to use in the mean time....sorry about the joke, but thats the way they usually do it......especially t-mobile....

Screen has gone white of my bb 9000

First try reset - take out battery and sim, keep out for a minute, then put them in and restart the phone. Any different?

The next possibility may be re-loading the device software from the Desktop Manager. Any better?

Please post feedback here if neither of these work.

G1 isnt deleting text messages

This problem had been bugging me for over a month now so I decided to just try and wait it out. First I deleted all the threads individually that the phone would allow me to so that just left me with 3 big threads, one that had 1300 messages and 2 that had about 650 each. I went into each thread and hit delete and when the "force close or wait" message popped up I hit "wait". Then it came up again about 5 minutes later so I hit "wait" again. I kept hitting "wait" each time and the thread eventually deleted. The ones with 650 took about 10 minutes of waiting to finally get deleted, the one with 1300 took about 20 mins but eventually they were all gone and now my phone is running much more smoothly. So just wait it out. Its annoying but worth it in the end.

TEXT MESSAGE

Does your phone have a data plan attached to it through T-mobile. I know there is one plan that contains 400 messages to it.

If you do check with G1 support at T-Mobile to find out if there is network issue or a software bug.

They can fix it on their end.
