Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
This problem is usually caused by what we professional appliantologists call, "panties in the drain pump." 'Course, that's just generic talk for something ain't opos'd to be there. Your hit list:
- Clean out the drain pump catchment.
- Pull the suction boot off the drain pump, clean out any gookus.
- Blow through the drain hose starting from the connection at the pump.
- If all else checks out, replace the pump.
The Duet hides the pump/filter access behind the lower panel. Most LG, Miele and ASKO washers have it right up front for easy access. I guess keeping such a base element out of view helps sales.
Baby socks make me a tidy sum. They can go places big socks can only dream about. Get yourself a lingerie bag for them and other small items you wish to wash if you don't feel like repeating this episode.
Long Drain error code.
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and “F/02” is flashed.
Press, PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the "F2 error code" will be displayed.
(1) Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
(2) Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
(3) Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

F2 is a drain error in your washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display F2. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
