Question about HP DeskJet 670c InkJet Printer

Printer crashes printer accepts printing job then cartridges it the right end of printer and makes a noise if trying to push further then orange light starts flashing. when I press reset the printer begins loading paper and printing 1or 2 lines of garbage continuously until I stop it. help Ann

Hi Ann,

Check the ribbon cable that comes out of the back of the print carriage for damage / disconnection. They don't normally wear loose, but it is possible.Failing that, the print engine could have failed, which would deliver duff data to the heads, thus printing rubbish onto the page.

orange light means that one of the printer cartridge is getting finished. The time it gets red that menas its totally empty.

This document deals strictly with the isolation and potential resolution of known noises through troubleshooting.<br /> <p>The following table describes some of the noises to be expected in a printer functioning normally:<br /> <span>Noise occurs:</span> <br /> <span>Additional information:</span> <br /> During power-up<br /> When the printer periodically makes humming and buzzing sounds as the carriage assembly moves around on the right/left side of the printer, the printer is actually cleaning the ink cartridges. If the orange light is on and remains on does that mean that the toner is out of ink and needs to be replaced?? When you press print it makes noise but won't print anything and then the orange light is on.

Ink cartirdge cannot be recognized even though correct cartidge was installed

You can try this but it lots to do but may help

This message may be resolved by resetting the unit. Please follow these
steps:

1. With the printer powered on, open the cover. The ink will move to
the left hand side.

2. Push down on the end of the black cartridge. A clicking noise will
be heard.

3. Slide the cartridge out of the holder towards you.

4. Push down on the end of the colour cartridge. A clicking noise will
be heard.

5. Slide the cartridge out of the holder towards you.

6. Once both cartridges are removed, unplug the power to the printer
(without turning it off).

7. Reconnect the power cord.

8. Turn on the printer.

9. Open the cover. The carriage that holds the ink will move to the
left hand side.

10. Make sure the orange cap is off of the bottom of the black
cartridge.

11. Place the black cartridge in the bottom of the printer.

12. Slide the black cartridge back until is cannot go back any further.

13. Push up on the end of the black cartridge, a clicking noise should
be heard.

14. Make sure the orange cap is off of the bottom of the colour
cartridge.

15. Place the colour cartridge in the bottom of the printer.

16 Slide the colour cartridge back until is cannot go back any further.

17. Push up on the end of the colour cartridge, a clicking noise should
be heard.

Please note that the colour cartridge will stick out further than the
black cartridge.

Close the cover. The printer should make some noise for a few moments,
and then return to standby.

Error - says can't recognize an ink cartridge

Z11 Printe Cartridge Stuck


first push cartridge inside and then try push out side and then keep the cartridge at right place and push it inside after pushing in make sure some green light blinking and start printing it

Printer says low level color ink fitted new ink printed ok at first but still said low ink order now and will not let me print or scan

The most common solution is to follow the steps as follows
1. unplug the power cord
2. press and hold down the <ON/OFF> button and reconnect the power cord
3. press the <STOP/RESET> button 2 times and then release the <ON/OFF> button
4. Display LED show "0" press the <+> button 1 time Display LED show "1"
5. press the <Start Color > button 2 times and then press the <ON/OFF> button waitng for testing out 2 pages
6. Open the cover. The carriage that holds the ink will move to the left hand side. and then unplug the power to the printer
7. Push down on the end of the black cartridge. A clicking noise will be heard.
8. Slide the cartridge out of the holder towards you.
9. Push down on the end of the color cartridge. A clicking noise will be heard.
10. Slide the cartridge out of the holder towards you.
11. Once both cartridges are removed, unplug the power to the printer (without turning it off).
12. Reconnect the power cord.
13. Turn on the printer.
14. Open the cover. The carriage that holds the ink will move to the left hand side.
15. Place the black cartridge in the bottom of the printer.

Resetting my ink levels

This message may be resolved by resetting the unit. Please follow these

the left hand side.
2. Push down on the end of the black cartridge. A clicking noise will
be heard.
3. Slide the cartridge out of the holder towards you.
4. Push down on the end of the color cartridge. A clicking noise will

Printing Dillema


Flashing resume light also can mean:

1. cartridge is missing or an incorrect print cartridge is installed
2. cartridge is out of ink
3. dirty cartridge contacts
4. paper jammed

Check are cartridges firmly snapped into place and not empty. Use water to wash copper on cartridges if contacts are dirty.
