Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop Jet Black
I have a Dell inspiron 1525; Problem connecting to dial-up internet: Computer dials the number, get the ''handshake'' but it is completely choppy and sounds kinda like it's breaking up or something, then it connects (95% of the time), and disconnects before you can open the home page. Then I reconnect (same sounds heard during connection, and usually it will stay connected, but half the websites I try to visit (i.e. google or yahoo) it gives me either ''address not valid'' couldn't connect to website, and at least a quarter of the time it does a google search rather than going to the website. I know that's a lot but do you have an idea? btw phone line is clear as a bell)
You have dial up? wow.. well, might not be your computer or phone line. Might be the server your dialing into. Is there a different phone number from a different server you can dial to test this theory?
