This is going to sound a little nutty, but what I want you to do is get the following driver from Dell. You want the BCM94312 driver. The download from Dell will be R174291.exe. Run it, and ignore the fact that it claims to be for a Dell card. This is a rebranded Broadcom. Install it and it will work.

You can find the driver here, http://www.acer.com/worldwide/support/ , try a reinstall or Open the Device Manager, select DVD/CD Rom drives, update or roll back the driver. Have you done a OS upgrade? Have you tried a System Restore to a date before this issue?

Hello Jonnyboy, looks like you are one of the Windows 7 driver problems, you may need to wait for the driver. the display should go to as much as 1280 x 800, try removing the VGA driver and use the standard windows driver.

Try the web address below. It is for Acer USA and should take you directly to the download site. Just choose "Notebook" then your model number, etc. and all the available driver downloads should show up. Hope this helps!

without the names of these devices, I can only direct you to the acer support website, which gives a list of drivers for a Windows XP operating system. Find the names of these components, and match it with the website.

Well, I did the same thing, replaced vista with XP Pro, and couldnt get the wireless to work (the xp runs incredibly faster on this machine, B.T.W).
After days and days of trying to figure out this same problem, I finally found the driver. I found it at gateway...the link is here... http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?param=Wireless_Broadcom_4312_v4.170.25.12_XPx86&st=kw
Hope this helps all of you who did the same!
Peace...
