If this is a furnace mounted humidifier. Just plug it in and turn it on. I do not know what part of the country you are in. I live in northeastern Ohio. We set out humidistats at aprox. 35% and adjust as needed.
Unplug it for the summer. If it getts muggy in the house or if you get condensation around the doors, windows or window sills. Turn the setting down. If it feels dry in the house, or you have dry skin, nosebleeds, dry eyes or notice static electricity. Turn up the humidistat. Always ajust a little at a time and allow a couple of days between adjustments. It takes time to notice any changes.
IMPORTANT ...change the water panels in it yearly for maximum operation.

Honeywell humidifier HE220. Water is'nt flowing through the solenoid. There is strong water up to the solenoid. A trickle out the rubber tubing coming from the solenoid. Doesn't flow through filter. Have checked wiring and cleaned solenoid filter.
