My Genesis Mp3 player 8GB does not turn on. When set for charging, it just says loading... Please help. Thank you.

1. let it charge all night long (8 hours)
2. put power switch in on mode.
3. hold "play" button 5 or more seconds until the mp3 player turns on.

If these steps fail, send it back and get a replacement. Better to start fresh than try to fiddle with it.

Will not stay on even though battery is fresh.

Did you try formatting it?

If YES, download and update the firmware. It will be fine.

If NO, check if the HOLD/LOCK button is fine and in the right position.

If yes, download the latest firmware and update it.

My mp3 player wont turn on even after pressing the reset buttton or plugging it into my computer

Either it needs fresh battery power or don't just touch the turn on button but keep your finger on it for 5-10 secs.

It wont turn on

Well, you can either try another AAA battery, or buy the same MP3 from a different store.(Be careful, some stores stock defects of items, such as MP3's.)

Won't work

1) Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the Found Hardware Wizard comes up.

2)
REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and give you a fresh start.

Mp3 Player Won't Charge

wiggle your usb cord - I had to wiggle mine a bit where it plugs into the usb port in the computer before it was recognized and listed as a device in 'my computer'. only then did it actually start charging; if your computer is not recognizing it is plugged in, it may not charge.. when i finally figured this out, the actual charging of my 4 gig audiophase mps only took 10 minutes- previously i was trying to charge it for hours without any luck.
