There is a gas range/oven I would like to buy. It was dropped and digital display was replaced. Range works only it has a big dent on the side. Even though the side would not show once installed in my kitchen, the dent is big enough so that when looking at the range from the front, you can see the side panel bent slightly. It does not look symetical. I know how to repair dents and work w/metals since I am an artist. How do I remove the side wall? Is it difficult to remove the side wall (shell) of a gas range? Do I have to disassemble the whole range to get the side wall off or just a couple parts and some screws?
We have a stainless steel dishwasher that has been dented, but it's not your typical dent: My little boy slid into it while playing and now the entire front is 'concave'. From a distance, it doesn't look bad, but when the light hits it right, it shows! I almost want to take a plunger to it to **** the thing out, but I know this won't work! This Mom needs help in solving this issue! Thanks! ;)
There are probably only a few screws to remove. I 5 years expirence taking dents out of appliences and automobiles. I have never worked on a range but many dryers. Usually there are only a few screws to take out but sometimes these screws are tricky to find. Also the metal pieces fit together tightly so you are going to need to put some muscle into it.......good luck!
