Question about Life Like Collectible Train Set
I've already cleaned the rails and contact points with rubbing alcohol with no desired result. Engine works fine on other tracks, so I know that isn't the issue.
The problem seems to be conductivity of the track...What will remedy this situation? Thanks for any replies; this (new) set belongs to my 8 year old son...
It sounds like you have eliminated the motor as the problem. Try cleaning all of the electrical contacts including the connections between rail sections and the hot rail with fine steel wool (make sure you clean up all of the remaining steel wool bits since they are conductive). If that doesn't work, look at the transformer output.
