Freezer wont make ice cubes

This is not difficult to troubleshoot.
  • When the arm is up the ice maker is off
  • When the bucket is full the arm is up the maker is off.
  • If the ice maker has a on/off button in off the ice maker is off
  • If the ice maker internal heater fails the cubes will not release and the white plastic ejector arms will be rotated CCW and pressing against the ice in the tray, Normal position for ejector arms is vertical.
  • If water solenoid has failed or water supply not available the ice maker will cycle. The ice tray will be empty,(hard to see if ice tray is empty). Check and replace water fill solenoid.
  • If ice in tray and ejector arms vertical several possibilities.
    • Freezer not cold enough to trip thermostat in ice maker to initiate release cycle.
    • Check freezer temperature <10 Fahrenheit thermostat in ice maker failure
    • Ice maker motor failure,
    • Internal ice maker electrical connections rotary switch failure,
The best way to check the operation is to manually lock the arm up into the off retention position. Wait a minimum of one hour. Open door and release arm down. Observe the operation of the ice maker. Is after a minute or so the ejector arm does not rotate then it is likely the ice maker has failed internally. If the ejector turns and no ice than you can assume either the water supply is off external from the refrigerator or more likely the water solenoid located behind the bottom back cover has failed. It is also possible that the hose that connects the solenoid to the ice maker has frozen right where it enters the freezer just above the ice maker. You should see ice built up at the entrance where the water fills the tray if this has occurred.

Upper spray arm on my Kitchen Aid dishwasher (8573025) doesn't work.

Arm operates(turns) by water pressure. If it does not turn no water is going to the top spray arm. make sure the setting washer is on does not preclude the top spray arm from operating(read manual). If not check arm by spinning by hand to make sure it is free. If arm is free and it still does not turn when DW is running than there is a restriction in the tubing to the upper spray arm or the check ball or solenoid are not operating correctly.

GE Dish Washer GSD 2800 DO3 runs a partial cycle...(even empty) and then beep and gives a message on control panel "washer arm blocked". Even ran without dish rack in washer still got the...

the rotating arm has a magnet in it to let the controls know if it is turning. Yours is not turning so
  • check the jets for blockages... you might have to remove the arm to clean them properly
  • make sure there in nothing stopping the arm from turning...spin the arm manually to see if it rotates freely.
  • knives etc sticking upward can stop the arms from rotating on the top rack
  • if you run without the rack the arm will obviously be not telling the electronic it is not blocked because it is not there. the rack must be in the machine with the magnet and the magnet passing correct messages.
  • If there is really no blockage then there is a elect fault that need to be sorted professionally.
  • PS have you taken the arm off anf squirted a hose up the inlet to see if water comes out all of the jets????

Could be false sensor input, could be that the arm is not turning, I am not sure how old your machine is, but age could play a part if the arm is "in fact", not turning. If you are not mechanically inclined, I would suggest that a qualified repairman check it out. Assuming that it worked ok..Prior to the several months of inactivity, it is hopefully a simple fix. Although I have repaired many a dishwasher, to give an accurate diagnosis on a machine that has not operated in some time, and without knowledge of what it was doing prior, and examining this particular problem...it is hit and miss. I would advise that you examine the wash arm, make sure that it turns freely, If you cannot find an obvious obstruction, or a glitch in its rotation...then you should have it checked out. Could be many things causing this condition...up to and including the water pressure and supply lines...Good Luck! Ihope you find this to be helpful!

Display error

The blood pressure monitor will display an "err" error message for many reasons. It could be the cuff is too small for the arm or wrist. Most wrist monitors measure up to 8.5 inches & arm monitors measure up to 13 inches. If a larger size is needed, then check with a pharmacy for larger sizes. Sometimes placement of the arm is wrong or the tube is not lined up correctly on the arm or the tube is not sealed tightly into the monitor. Sometimes body movement during a reading can cause an error. It is best to check if any of these occurrences happened before the error message occurred.

It is the switch that is connected to the arm that may not be working properly which in turn send the wrong signal to the display.Check the arm and look for any kind of switch connected to it..Try to move it and see what happens or if the error disappears..

LG LDS5811WW Low pressure out of spray arms

On the LG LDF xxxx dishwasher family, the Vario feature uses a motor/check valve to switch between "full power" cleaning from _either_ the lower or the upper spray arms, never at the same time. So, not seeing the upper arm spin during the lower arm spinning is standard operating procedure.

But back to your problem. Step one would be to remove the filter assembly again and make certain that there is nothing (debris, broken glass) blocking the white areas where the check valve rotates to switch between upper/lower spray arms. A blockage there ~could~ cause impotent spraying/cleaning.

If there is no blockage and the impeller remains in good shape, suspect a failing wash pump motor. Try to isolate the noise to that motor.

Watch for error codes on the display and report back what you find, OK?

Good Luck!
