Question about Samsung SGH-X830 Cellular Phone

I would like to set music as my alarm tone. Since Multimedia Manager said MP3 is not a supported format I converted the music into amr format. When I try to add it to the alarm tones, phone says ''not allowed'' What is the problem here?

Unsupported media format or bit rate over


Unsupported media format - we generally get this error on playing the media files like music or video.
This is because the format is not supported by the phone.

l 700 only support midi tones so get a ringtone maker which can save tone in midi format

Can i put my music to message alert tone


yes.we active any format like mp3.wav.amr all types we can active as a alaram,ring tone,msg tone ets but we see it only on file manager accept other fomat.mp3 format only on mp3 player

Just copy the ringtone in phone memory which you want to set. It will give you option to set it as ringtone.

First of all let me clearify about ringtone formats. There are rintone formate supported in 6600 are amr, mp3, wave and midi. AMR and MP3 are called voice format. MIDI is called music format. If you want to convert MP3 in ringtone then u have to cut it by MP3 CUTTER which is easily available on NET. If u want to convert MP3 into AMR, there is convertor named MMConvertor pro it is also available on net. If you want to convert MP3 in WAVE there is STREAMBOX reeper available on net. Ring tone problem


MP3 format file are for you to listen to.
.mid, .aac, and .amr file extentions are ring tones.

Playin true tones on nokia 6030


Your 6030 can not support MP3 format but it gives support to .AMR format. Amr is also voice format. U can get nokia multimedia convertor to change MP3 into AMR. Or mail me to get MMConvertor Pro. ID is patel352003@gmail.com
