Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF50WE610 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Where is the projection lamp located on the Sony KFWE610.

The red lamp light is flashing and it has been about 5 years since the tv was purchased. I think a projection lamp is needed. Please advise where the projection lamp is located and what part of the tv cabinet needs to be removed to get to the projection lamp. Thank you.

Replace your lamp. Your DLP set does not have Stk ic's in it. I don't know what expert told you that but I can assure you he has never worked on a TV. You can purchase the lamp from www.dlplamps.com

Picture will come on and then go off after a couple minutes

This usually means the Lamp is failing. Replacing the Lamp usually fixes it. I would only use a Sony Replacement.
You can order one from Sony at 1800-222-SONY or you may be able to pick one up from a local Sony Retailer.

My panasonic lifi tv starts flashing green then the red light flashes red all the time now.

If the light is flashing 2x and pausing and repeating you probably need a new lamp.Panasonic has extended the warranty on the labor for the lam p to 3 years due to difficult replacement.Call Panasonic customer service and they will refer you to the nearest service center. The lamp itself is covered for 5 years.

Sony KDF-E42A10 rear projection TV. Won't turn on.

Start by changing the lamp. If you got 5 years out of the old one, count your blessings, most folks only get three. The lamp is designed to be replaced by the consumer. Ebay will carry a replacement for you or you can get it directly from rivervalleyelectronics.net. They've got good prices. The lamp door is on the back. Its really easy, give it a shot.

Hello, please check how many times the red light flashes. If it is 3 times this means that the lamp cover is not fastened securely. If the red light flashes 5 times this means that the lamp driver is defect. If you need more help please advice
