Increase the volume on the TV and/or your connected media device (streaming player, Blu-ray player, cable or satellite box, etc.). Check the audio settings on your TV and connected devices. Turn off and unplug your TV and connected devices. Inspect the TV cables and ports, then check the ones on your devices as well.
Check Mute. Make sure the sound on your TV isn't muted. Push the Mute button on your TV remote. ...
Adjust Volume. On your TV remote, use the Volume Up/Down buttons. ...
Sound Menu. Push the Menu button on your TV Remote.
I had come home about a week ago and pushed the power button from my
remote but my tv did not respond. So I just went to the front panel and
pushed power but once the tv turned on, the volume was on full blast! I
used the front panel volume decrease to get the volume down, but when I
stopped pushing the button, the tv increased its volume to full blast
again by itself! Naturally I just turned the tv off for a few moments. I
tried the remote again, no response again, so I used the panel power
button. The tv volume was still full blast when it turned on but after I
decreased the volume it stayed this time. The picture is and has been
perfectly fine and the tv was working fine. The next day the problem
started all over and now once we turned it off from frustration of
having to manually use the panel to change channels, it now will not
turn on at all. I have changed batteries from my remote, reprogrammed my
remote, pushed system reset several times, unplugged it for a while,
bought a new surge charge, and even held the menu and device panel
buttons for 10 sec and tried to turn the t.v. on again! What other
options do I have or what may be the issue at hand and possible parts
that may need to be replaced?? Thanks!!
SEEMS TO BE STUCK IN MENU MODE ,TRY PUSHING THE MENU KEY ON YOUR REMOTE AND THEN PUSH IT AGAIN,,HOPE THIS HELPS.YOU CAN ALSO HIT THE MENU BUTTON ON THE TV ITS ON THE LEFTHAND LAST BUTTON....
Hi check to see if the volume button on the side is pushed in or sticking as this will cause all the buttons to not work as the micro thinks you are trying to turn up the button and thinks this button is depressed.
i would suggest getting a universal remote and just hit the menu button and go from there. Or you might be able to use the menu button on the tv if it doesnt have one some tvs you have to hold either up and down channel buttons or the up and down volume buttons at the same time to reach the menu and from there you can turn p.i.p off.
Here sounds like your override setting on cable box needs to be set. Here is how to fix that- 1. On remote push the button at the top that says CBL or Cable. 2. On remote push power button. 3. On the remote push the menu button. This should bring up an internal menu called user settings. 4 Use the remote to scroll down to 4:3 OVERRIDE and use the LEFT or RIGHT arrow keys on the remote to change the value to 480i and see if this clears up your problem. If not repeat and change the setting to 480p and one of these settings should fix your problem.
Setting the RX-V861 remote control to operate Zone 2:

Using the [NUMERICAL KEY PAD] on the remote and key in 9992, the [TRANSMIT INDICATOR] should flash.

NOTES: There is an option for setting the Maximum Volume and Initial Volume in the Zone Set menu.
Max Volume: This is an optional feature but isrecommended to prevent the accidental change in volume levels thatcould damage the speakers and receiver.
Initial Volume: This is also a great feature that would seamlessly start the volume level for the second or third zone at the desired level.
We do not recommend using any Speaker Selector boxes to enable more than the recommended number of speakers per terminal. Controlling Zone 2 using the RX-V861 remote control:
If the Main Zone on the receiver is on, press the [POWER BUTTON]down and while holding that button down press the [PHONO]/[**] button on the remote. The [TRANSMIT INDICATOR] will light up.

There are the instructions as written straight from yamaha. If you need any further assistance please let me know. Thank you, Lee
Push the TV button on the top of your comcast remote, Push and hold the setup button. The TV button will flash once, and then twice more. After the flashes, you will input a 5 digit code, if it is high definition, the codes are 11454, 10802, 11198, 11990. If standard Def, the codes are, 11454, 10054, 10030, 10706, 10187, 10386, 10802, 11198.
Try those codes one at a time depending on which definition you have. One of those codes should work for you. If the first code doesn't work rinse and repeat the process until you find a code that will turn the tv on and off, and adjust the volume.
cableman try this exactley to the "T" with the instructions in front of you. The procedure resets your monitor to factory settings. On step 13 use the factory setting on the right side menu block not the left. It may or may not work if you have a bad board or eeprom.
