Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Simple things first. Clean the disk. They will tell you not to use any cleaners on the surface, and make sure to use a soft cloth and wipe from the center out. However, when I am at my wits end and it's either use a cleaner or toss the disk, I will use alcohol, and then let it evaporate. If there are scratches on the disk and they are superficial, they can be "buffed" out, either by a home kit you can get at a music or game store, or some video game stores provided the service for a fee (like $1). Sometimes, as happened iny case once, the disc is defective, and this won't work. You might also try using a lens cleaner on the PS3.
