Try uninstalling the Microsoft Activesync. The Palm website offers the newly, innovated Activesync software available for your device. I would recommend reinstalling Microsoft Activesync from this support site.

You should be able to find what you need at www.palm.com/nz/support/treo700wx/ including software, setup guides etc.

delete the association that is currently in your z4 and completely reinstall the pair. if you have z4 manual it will show how to do it.

to do a MAster/hard reset you hold down the END/RED key and/while pushing the reset button with your stylus on the back of the phone, the reset button is under the battery cover, right next to the battery

Windows CE is used to operate the Pioneer AVIC F series, which yours falls into. That version of Windows has not been patched or updated with the new day light savings times and since the player uses GPS to get the current time and Windows to make the time change for your zone then your time will not update until the orginal daylight savings time occurs. You can try to change the time to manual in the Pioneer settings, deal with the wrong time for just a lil bit longer until the original Daylight Savings Time takes place, or re-search an update and way to update the players OS which is Windows CE. Sounds like it finds the stereo, but won't pair? You need to check with Treo. I know that my Treo 700WX did not pair with my stereo headsets until I downloaded a patch upgrade to the phone.
