I have owned this washer for 2 1/2 years, and all of a sudden, I hear this series of 3 beeps every time I do a load. The beeps happen once or twice a minute. Also, when I press the "start" button, sometimes it starts and other times it takes me to a different temperature and spin setting. After reading several testimonials on the web, I am afraid that this washer is headed for a relay repair. Help!

No, there was no code until I ran a diagnostic test per the repair manual. At that point, "F" flashed alternately with "2". I think it is the user interface, which I will have to order. Do you think I can replace this myself? Thanks for your help FTjoe!
Dear FTjoe,
I believe I have access to the diagnostic tests. I ran the test to determine the F2 code, but as I read through the repair manual from the inside of the front panel, it does look like there are other tests to run. I have to really sit down and figure this out!
The exact model number is 110.27092601 and I have had it since October, 2006 (2 1/2 years old). As always, your help is GREATLY appreciated!
F2 is a keypad/user interface failure, so you are absolutely correct. and yes, you can replace it yourself. its the module inside the top console (console assembly).
but, there is a series of tests to be sure it is the user interface module and not the machine/motor control module. do you have access to the diagnostic tests for this machine to narrow it down to which it is?
what is the exact model number of this washer?
how long have you had this machine?
i think its definately headed for a computer board replacement. sounds like you have the faulty board which makes it act like this.
when the beeping starts & stops, is there a code displayed on the front panel where time usually is displayed? anything like "F1"?
