Replacement lamp not bright

I have a mitsubishi wd 52725 and the lamp went out. There are alot of places selling lamps with housings from $109-$300. I bought one from advanced lamps for $139 and put it in and my tv is not very bright. My question is what is the difference between lamps. what one is the best quality? the factory one that I took out was a osram. any thoughts? thanks Russ

i replaced my lamp with osram and get same result, picture is not clear and bright. scenes with windows in them show bright white with subjects dark that stand in front.

As i previously posted, my picture was dim, muddy looking after replacing lamp with osram lamp. i fixed mine by taking the screen off and cleaning the small mirror. it had a thick layer of dust on it, cleaned with a microfiber cloth. no water, no glass cleaners. i also used a very fine new small paint brush and dusted the projector lens which also had a dust film. brightness, contrast and clarity returned!

I have a mitsubishi WD-52725. the red lamp light was on and I replaced the lamp. the red lamp light came back on after replacing with a new lamp. Could there be another problem

Yes the capacvitors on the power board can cause the red lamp light and a 34 error code. The V26 Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually solve that issue. The kit contains the upgraded caps and the CD with instructions for the repair.

It sounds like you need to replace the lamp for your TV unit. Also don't forget to replace the lamp use hours timer otherwise the TV unit will not recognize a new lamp has been installed. I hope this helps. Good luck.

You can use Mitsubishi 915p020010 or Osram E023. Remove the front and clean the lense using only a clean microfiber cloth. dirty lense main cause of dark picture. The lamp could be incorrect wattage.

Buzzing noise from Mitsubishi DLP WD-52327 after replacing bulb

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.

How to reset hours (4000) after replacing lamp

when you replace the lamp as soon as you power up the set it should automatically bring up the menu asking if you have replaced the lamp and would you like to resett the lamp hrs. Your problem is not with the lamp. its most likely the power pwb capacitors. You can get the repair kit at the following link with instructions.
