Problem for Krups Aroma Control 229 Coffee Maker
Clock shorted out
I've had my krups for about 7 years now (and love it!). Lately, I have been experiencing problems with the automatic shut off. It does not shut off and I have to unplug the machine fearing I may burn it.
I suspect the problem is the electronic clock mechanism which controls the timer on/off and auto shut off functions. Does anybody know if they sell this part? My second guess is that this piece cannot be repaired.
I'd appreciate your input.

- After brewing the machine will not shut off. I must unplug it. I plug it in the next time I brew coffee and it is still on. - donbarrsSolution #1

Hi George here is solution I posted for another person:
you need to replace circuit board that has timer and auto shut-off I have same problem krups doesn't think it is a safety issue because the coffee maker has a thermal switch. But I still think it is. Also if you are not carefull when you fill with water it will steem back in your face!
