Question about Onkyo TX-SR803 Receiver
My Onkyo 806 reciver connected with panasonic bd35k blue ray plaer and its decode and bitstreem DTS HD 7.1 audo and i tryed to play DTS HD 7.1 featured BD Disc via hdmi connection between player and reciver but reciver accepts only 5.1 and shows DTS Neo 6 ???
i selected onscreen menu dts HD 7.1 CH in BD player but still its showing the same..? how i get DTS 7.1 hd lossless audio
Hdmi connection between player and AVR. Right?
I am sure you would have also done the first time setup and set all the 7 speaker as well as the subwoofer thru your auto or manual speaker set up and that the reason you are getting Neo6.
On your Receiver, please also check the format of the digital input signal thru "Displaying Source Information" Press the [RECIEVER] button, and then press the [DISPLAY] buttorn repeatedly to cycle thru the available information.
a).. If the information shown say that DTS - ES Discrete, DTS- Matrix, DTS -HD and so on.... then we need to check as to why the receiver is not accepting the signal.
b).If the information shows otherwise and a 7.1 signal is not availalbe, then its possible that the source(in this case the BD player/or the recording is not sending the required signal).
lets take the case (a). In this case if you have all the 7.1 set up in place and you are getting the required signal , then you can assign a default listening mode to each input source that will be selected automatically when you select each input source.
Press [RECEIVER] button followed by [SETUP] button and enter listening mode setup, use up , down buttons to select the input source that you want to set and press [ENTER].
then use [up], [down] button to select the signal format that you want to set.
then use the [[LEFT] and [RIGHT] buttons to select a listening mode.
When you are finished, you can press [SETUP] again.
The above is with experience with ONKYO AV Receivers. In case you have a problem , please let me know so that I can go thru the SETUP menu of your particular receiver i.eTX-SR- 806.
HOpe the above sort out. DO let me know.
