Set number of rings

KX-TGA101S is an add-on handset for a Panasonic KX-TG1000 series cordless phone system. One of the models that is compatible with the handset is the KX-TG1032S. Assuming that you do not have voice mail from your telephone provider, you can change the number of rings from the Answering Device Settings Menu.

Start with the phone system in standby (no incoming or outgoing calls) mode. Press Menu and use the up/down keys to navigate to Answering Device. Press OK to enter the sub-menu. Navigate to Settings and press OK. Navigate to Ring Count and press OK. Use the up/down arrows to choose a new number of rings. Press OK to save and press Off to exit the menu system. Note: if the ring count is set to Toll Saver mode, the answering system will pick up on the second ring if there are new messages. It will pick up the incoming call on the fourth ring if there are no new messages.

The KX-TGEA20 is the handset for one of several Panasonic cordless phone models, including the KX-TGE232. To change the number of rings before the answering system picks up, make sure that all of the handsets are in standby mode. Press Menu # 2 1 1 on a handset. Use the Up/Down arrows to select the desired number of rings (between 2 and 7 or toll saver). Then press the soft key for Save followed by pressing Off on the handset.

I'd get their phone number and/or get on-line with Panasonic to the telephone department and ask them for the Owners Manuel for your phone they will need Model and Serial Numbers or some such things. There may be a fee for the Manuel.

You have to subscribe to that feature first at the telephone company and pay a monthly fee, then your phone will have to have the ability to decode the information that the telephone company sends after the first ring, only if you are a subscriber.

Press the Function key (bottom of handset, black button that says Mute but has Function underneath)
In the silver button, in the top middle of the handset, press the down arrow button twice and display shows Ringer setting.
Press the right arrow key, then use arrow up and arrow down to adjust volume level. when you're done, press the right arrow button to SAVE.
