Audio driver problems

I have an hp dv2710us that came with vista but i downgraded to xp to have a faster os and the audio jacks on the front are'nt working now matter what i try i could use some help?

    I have tried all the hp drivers and none of them will work it will say media not located.

Go to the manufacturers web site. download the drivers for audio. You will need a specific program to use the front.

    this could mean that then might have came unplugged on the inside of your computer. You might try to open your computer case to just look and see if all wires are attached to the motherboard. The only other thing would be the drivers.

Im having issues with audio when downgraded from vista to xp in my hp dv4 1425


HAVE A NICE DAY ROLLY,
FIRSTLY, REPAIR UR OS USING XP2 AND THEN USE SOUND DRIVER SIS OR VIA IM SURE IT WILL WORK K? AND LASTLY F U HAVE BUDGET UPGRADE IS THE BEST WAY.

Intel don't do an xp driver for this board. It may be worth downloading and trying the NT driver from www.intel.com

go to the support site for your motherboard, there you will get universal bus architecture device drive. Install this before you install the Audio/Sound driver.

Your note book is locked in for your video & your sound.
Well everything about your Presario V3424AU notebook is wraped wall to wall Vista.
Would consider you call HP/Compaq & ***** about Vista. Toggle a deal to replace notebook with XP installed. I gather you haven't had this notebook for a year as of yet?
This is what I would do.
I can not find enough drivers for win XP to function on this notebook.
