Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t Notebook
There is a thin red vertical line on the left side of the lap top screen. I mean... it's not bothering me, but it has me worried that there could be something seriously wrong. I have an HP Pavilion DV2000 notebook. (**** computer btw... I don't recommend buying HP.) But anyways.... is there a solution to getting rid of this line?
I should add that the line shows up when I start the lap top at the time the HP Logo come on... and so on.
I don't remember seeing it earlier today. It caught my eye because it runs through the START button. I think it appeared after I used PowerPoint 2007.
Thanks in advance!
Majority of time it's the lcd that has a problem which creates the red line, otherwise it's the GPU (video processor).
Try hooking up your computer to an external monitor. If you see the line on the external chances are it's the lcd.
This method of testing isn't fool proof but either way the problem is hardware related.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
